What is Reflexology in Retirement?

Reflexology for people who are moving into or are already retired, can be superbly beneficial. Learn some simple and highly effective techniques that you can use with the over 60's, elderly or infirm.

What is this Reflexology in Retirement Workshop?

This one day workshop focuses on the specific requirements of offering reflexology to those in retirement, the elderly or infirm. Many people are now entering the ‘protirement’ or ‘retirement’ era of their lives and are exceedingly well and active, whereas others are frail, lacking in mobility and experiencing health challenges. This workshop focuses on Gentle Touch ™ Reflexology for the aged, those in fragile health or with many health challenges.

 It is perfect for:-

  • Anyone who wants to assist elderly clients or relatives some basic hand or foot reflexology techniques
  • Qualified reflexology practitioners who are specialising in working with the elderly or infirm.

 

What you will learn:

  1. Some of the issues unique to the elderly
  2. Reasons for using the light and gentle touch techniques of Gentle Touch ™ Reflexology with the elderly
  3. Cautions and contraindications in using Foot  and Hand Reflexology with the elderly
  4. Delightful and effective techniques that are relevant to the care of those of advanced years
  5. Specific techniques for conditions associated with the elderly.

You will be provided with some notes to support this course.  These notes will be available to you on suericks.com after the course.

How Many CPD/ CEU Points Can I Earn?

This course qualifies for 6 CPD points (AoR) and 5.5 CEUs (ARCB)
