I’m very happy to be sharing more information about how to work with all ages of infants, and children of growing years. It is marvellous that we are now open to using reflexology in the support of infants.

I just want to put things into perspective because I’ve been fortunate enough to work with babies and children for very many years. When I began in reflexology over 35 years ago, it was a case that the general consensus of opinion in the reflexology community was that reflexology was most definitely just for adults. When I began to work with infants, I experienced some negative feedback within the reflexology community. I felt sad about that because I had a deep knowledge and belief that working with infants was of immense value to our future in the world. I got myself in lots of trouble with people who were more experienced than I was. I talked about my wishes and my desires, my action plans of what I was going to do in working with babies and children as it is so important to support infants in every way that we can.

My thoughts are that infants, as you know; they are our way forward. They are our next generation and if we can encourage our little ones to have and to love reflexology; then in fact we have helped them for life because we’ve been there for them when they started out in life. As they move through their lives of being toddlers, through to teens and into their adult life; we are providing for the whole world. I do think about it as being the whole world, because if we can work with all ages then that’s a marvellous thing for all.

I started working with my children and my friend’s kids too. It was such a very long time ago, however, since then I was fortunate enough to take it into charities in order to help to support these charities and who they support plus to teaching new mums. I have taken it into hospitals, into neonatal critical care units and I have also taught all over the world. This would never have been possible many years ago. Luckily now we are so much more open to working with children as we see the community changing and making reflexology available for all ages. I have been very, very blessed to be so involved in this and what my plan is now, is to share with you a few techniques that you can take away with you.
