I feel super lucky to have practiced and taught Reflexology for Babies and Children for many years now.
I am a Mum and Nanny too… I have two amazing sons and two gorgeous grandsons!
When I first started out in Reflexology, I wanted to help my sons and their friends with this wonderful therapy so I worked out different ways to maximise the ways to help them… ways that worked for me!
I have been doing it for over 30 years now.
It has become such a super important part of my life and I see and hear about really lovely results every day!
I have just been asked for my top tips on working with Children… so here are my top 3!
- Get yourself feeling as nice, loving, centered and energetically as okay as you can be, BEFORE thinking about it or actually doing any reflexology on any child of any age.
- If they seem to be really enjoying it, carry on! If they aren’t, then stop or pause before carrying on or stopping.
- Use a very Gentle level of touch and work slowly. That includes how you move towards them and as well as when you make physical contact with them. Take your time.
I hope that helps.
