Reflexology for Babies and Children

How lovely are children? I have been surrounded by the miracles of the innocence of children recently. One little treasure came for reflexology with some very sore skin as he has quite severe eczema. He took to Gentle Touch™ Reflexology like a duck to water and was soon in control of how he wanted everything to go. He got his Mother organised on where he wanted her to sit so she could see the progress through the treatment. He had my oil bottle and put oil on my hands when needed and generally made himself very welcome! His Mum sent an email saying he slept for over nine hours afterwards (and normally manages a maximum of six hours). I love the fun that children can have. Obviously it is not all fun and games but they frequently have such a great knack at the seeing the world through very different eyes.

The Foot Reading Book is coming on. I am enjoying writing it and know it will take some time. I have been asked to write an article for the magazine for Nail Magazine as foot reading is useful for anyone who has contact with feet. I will add a link when it is out.

I have had an interesting time over the past few weeks as foot reading has revealed a family trait for a lady seeking answers to an issue that we have been working through. She has a photo that happened to have views of the soles of her parents’ feet. She has knowledge of some areas relating to Foot Reading and thought that she may be able to explain much of her situation by understanding what her parents’ feet explained about them. It turned out to be a fascinating session as her parents’ feet revealed a very lovely approach to life but one that conflicted with each other and left their daughter struggling with opposing views. So many of us, (including me) remember doing our best to be “good girls” and have chosen to reflect on that and decide for ourselves. She had also picked up messages from her parents about how to behave, view the world and what to do. Here we had a case of one parent being entirely logical and another parent being extremely emotional and bending to others opinions. This proved a recipe for disaster for the girl when younger! One parent was being entirely logical and totally ignoring her feelings and the other parent was very aware of their feelings but could not allow them as “we do not show our feelings”. It became so much easier for the lady when she recognised that these are the ways that work (or not) for her parents) but that it is not possible for her to continue. On releasing the opposing patterns she was able to relax and let go of trying to please. It also helped her to communicate with her parents. She knows when to be purely logical and when to ask for her feeling to be acknowledges and copes if they are not. It is so good to see her progress and see the results that she has achieved through the information that her feet revealed. This is one area that I had not anticipated. It now seems obvious to me that it can reveal so many reasons why some relationships work and some are so hard, but I must admit I had not anticipated this one!
